The Norseman staff is extremely excited about our 2015 season. We have been very busy renovating beachfront rooms in the Sundowner, replacing decks on the Sailoft, Dunes, Sundowner and Portside, replacing siding on the Sundowner and Dunes, renovating bathrooms in the Summer building at Aspinquid, shingling the Lodge and Main buildings at Aspinquid; and planning our all new “Tidal Suites” at the beach. The economy seems to be on the upswing and with decreasing gas prices, we are hoping for a brisk season. Our resort has accommodations to meet the demands and expectations of those wanting the most from their vacation experience. Choose rooms with views of the ocean, dunes or tidal river. Prefer more privacy? The Aspinquid has several rooms with private decks or balconies. Efficiency rooms, restaurants and retail stores, in addition to many other amenities make the Norseman your perfect vacation home. What Happened to the Gangplank?
Unfortunately, due to severe structural problems, we no longer have our 6 cozy rooms available in the Gangplank building. The good news is that the location will be the new home of our Tidal Suites. These 2-room suites will feature living rooms with stone propane fireplaces, wet bars with refrigerators and microwaves, 60” TVs, sofa beds and comfortable seating arrangements. The bedrooms will have king beds. Sliding glass doors in both the living rooms and bedrooms will showcase spectacular views of the tidal river. Each suite will have a private deck. Baths will offer 2-basin vanities and oversize showers with multiple relaxing showerhead options. Tidal Suites are scheduled to debut on June 5. We are in the process of obtaining necessary permitting due to our proximity to the water. Once issued, we are ready to begin on our new venture.
Great news for fans of our most popular building! All rooms are now renovated to include large tiled showers, tiled bath and entryway floors and large vanities with granite counters. The second floor oceanside deck is brand new and much of the building has been given a facelift with new grey shingle siding.
We recognize that many guests do not have the flexibility to vacation for the tradition 1 or 2 weeks. Work and school schedules and family commitments translate to less vacation time for many travelers. Therefore, we have altered some of our minimum stay policies during peak season. Sundowner will remain at a 5-night minimum; all other locations will require just a 2-night minimum stay. The only exception will be a 3-night minimum for locations other than Sundowner for Independence Weekend.
Our acquisition in 2011 has enabled us to offer all of our guests a total resort experience. Resort amenities include - outdoor heated pool, tennis court, exercise room, dry sauna, guest laundry, showers and changing room. Pool is open from late-May until mid-September. Other amenities are available from mid-May until mid-October.
Rooms at the Aspinquid have 2 full beds. Lodge and Main building accommodations have efficiency kitchens with either microwaves or 2 burner stove tops. There are several apartments with full kitchens and some apartments with 2 baths. Summer building rooms are standard with 2 full beds. Penthouse rooms in this building have 3 full beds to accommodate 6 guests.
Aspinquid is located just 500 feet from the beach offering convenience without the crowds.
Breakfast on Us
Spring is the perfect time to visit us to take advantage of our off-season rates and complimentary full American breakfast served daily at Huckleberry’s. Breakfast is served DAILY April 10 – May 14 and Monday – Friday May 17 – June 18. Also, breakfast is not complimentary on Memorial Day.
Our weekly house rentals are a terrific way to vacation with several family members. Our houses are large with several bedrooms, baths, fully equipped kitchens, airy living rooms, laundry facilities. 41 Beach Street sleeps 12 and has a large outdoor deck. BeachCrest at 48 Beach Street accommodates up to 14 guests, has a large yard and views of the ocean from many windows. More details at www.ogunquitbeach.com.
Parking is tight during peak season but we are here to help. We provide complimentary parking for one vehicle per room. Extra vehicles and oversize pick-ups or SUVs parking is provided at the beach parking lot adjacent to the Norseman. The daily fee in 2014 was $9 but may be subject to change in 2015. Please see our front desk associates if you require assistance with parking during your stay. Vehicles must be removed from parking lot at check-out time.
Can We Have an Early Check-In/Late Check-Out?
We understand that many visitors would like to check into their rooms as soon as they arrive into town. Unfortunately, during our busy times we are unable to check guests in prior to 3pm. Check-out time is 11am and housekeeping must clean the rooms prior to your check-in. Late check-outs during peak season are not possible for the same reason. Thank you for your understanding.

The 83rd season of the Ogunquit Playhouse promises to be phenomenal with such show lineups as Sister Act, Victor Victoria and Saturday Night Fever – The Musical. We are proud corporate sponsors of the Playhouse and hope that you are able to enjoy a show during your stay.
C & J Bus Lines
Beginning Memorial Weekend, daily bus service will operate from NYC to Ogunquit. The Chamber of Commerce has collaborated with C & J to provide this outstanding transportation option.
