The summer of 2005 will feature the 73rd summer season of legendary, professional theatre at the Ogunquit Playhouse. The season will include a variety of popular musical favorites and our ever-popular Kids Korner series. The curtain goes up on Monday, June 20 with the beloved favorite, Forever Plaid, which will have audiences humming and singing along to some of the greatest pop hits of the 50s, including “Magic Moments”, “Three Coins in the Fountain”, and “Love is a Many Splendored Thing”. On July 5, the smash Broadway hit musical and Tony-award- winning, AIDA featuring the music of the legendary Elton John and Tim Rice, will open for a three week run. On July 25, Playhouse favorite Sally Struthers returns to star in the hilarious musical comedy, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Following is SWING!, a musical celebration of this uniquely American dance craze. Rounding out the season, the latest installment in the Nunsense series, Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Review will have audiences rolling in the aisles as the Little Sisters of Hoboken take on Vegas. The Box office opens Monday, May 2 and can be reached at 207.646.5511.
